For many years FAA Information Technology A/S (FAA IT), based in Aarhus, Denmark, and InPORT Intelligent PORT Systems AB (InPORT AB), based in Karlstad, Sweden, have developed, sold, implemented and serviced logistics systems for the transport industry, specializing in port and terminal operational solutions and shipping.

Both companies were characterized by a long experience within the industry and considerable knowhow as well as employees with high competence within programming and communication.

FAA IT and InPORT AB decided in September 2005 to join forces. The aim was to create a strong entity which can meet the demands of the market for long-term reliability when it comes to resources, delivery of modern, high-quality IT systems and, not least, the possibility of offering a high level of service. New possibilities of product development of competitive logistics solutions will also be created.

FAA IT has changed its name to InPORT Intelligent PORT Systems A/S (InPORT A/S).


Our owners
InPort A/S and InPort AB are now owned by the Danish parent company FAA Holding A/S - a strong business player within logistics - and by Svensk Hamndata Holding AB.


Customer Base

The customer base is made up of a majority of Swedish ports as well as a large number of Danish terminal operators and agents - about 100 logistics companies including ports, terminal operators, line agents, shipping companies, forwarding agents, ship agents, rail operators and shippers.

Together, the InPort companies are today the market leader in the Nordic countries as well as a significant supplier within all of the Baltic area.
